Formal and colourful accents in the park
Franziska and Mercedes Welte have been working on the theme of ‘Art for parks, gardens and public spaces’ for more than 15 years. The highlight of their work was the 2019 Venice Biennale, where their sculptures were presented in the Giardini Marinaressa.
Figurative and abstract
In addition to the figurative NONOS sculptures, the artists also create abstract works. Their female and abstract sculptures deal with the human form and ideas of the past, present and future on the one hand, and with the elements of nature on the other.
